Back in the saddle

Work started for real today. I even went in a little early, so I could read through the mail that I picked up on the way out of the house. More bills.
I think I will take the offer to work with Atoning and Hypatia for the duration. It should be fun. It will also mean I have some semblance of a ‘real’ job so I can see what having money is like. And what having to be at the same place every Wednesday Thursday and Friday will feel like.
Having said all that, nothing amazing really happened at work! The supplier’s supplier didn’t have any stock, so they didn’t have any stock, so we couldn’t build any systems. This is/was bad. The best estimates are for Friday/Monday for stock to arrive. Sigh, what is it with people? Can’t they estimate that they will move stock once everybody is working again? Sheesh!!!
Oh well, not to worry. I am sure I can find something to do tomorrow!
For tonight’s feast, diners will be sampling crispy garlic chicken round things with wild vegetables, slaughtered at the table. For desert there is rare herbal tea from the gardens of Lip-Tun, the fabled sanctuary of Cheap Tea Lover’s the world over.
